Servette Ch\u00eanois is preparing to play in the play-off final of the Axa Women’s Super League against Zurich on 26 May. The Geneva team, coached by Jose Barcala, qualified thanks to a white-net draw against Young Boys in the return match of the play-off semi-final, after winning the first leg with a clear 4-0 victory.<\/p>\n
This will be the third consecutive final between Servette Ch\u00eanois and Zurich, with the Servette players determined to take revenge after their defeats in the previous two editions.<\/p>\n
In the 2021-2022 season, Servette Ch\u00eanois lost on penalties after a 2-2 draw, while last year they were defeated by a narrow 0-3. Nevertheless, Barcala’s team has already proved its worth by winning the Swiss Cup<\/a> last 20 April against Young Boys, adding an important trophy to their trophy cabinet.<\/p>\n It was a more hard-fought match between FC Zurich Women and FC Basel. The match started well for the Basel players, who had to come back from a 2-1 defeat in the first leg. Milena Nikolic put the team ahead in the sixth minute.
