Servette women’s soccer after winning against Thun<\/a> lost 3-0 to FC Zurich Frauen<\/strong> in Geneva on the final day of the regular season of the Swiss women’s soccer league. It is the first defeat after 21 games since the team has been coached by Spaniard Jose Barcala, recently confirmed for another 2 years.<\/p>\n

Servette had not returned to the Geneva Stadium since 2021, when it last played Champions League matches. There were all the prerequisites to make a good impression in front of an audience of about 1,500 people complete with live television coverage. However, nothing went as it should. Despite the defeat, the Servette Fc women’s team remains first in the regular season standings.<\/p>\n

The next stage will be the play-offs, during which Servette will have the opportunity to prove its ability to compete for the Swiss women’s top league title. Before that, however, Jose Barcala’s team will play in the final of theAxa Women’s Cup<\/a> and then begin the postseason, with the final scheduled to take place in Thun, one of the host cities for the European Women’s Soccer Championship in 2025, which as we know will be held in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

The Swiss women’s soccer league, like the Italian league, is composed of only 10 teams. Geneva is recognized as the stronghold of women’s soccer. Servette formerly known as Football F\u00e9minin Ch\u00eanois Gen\u00e8ve, has a 30-year history. Since 2017, it has been the women’s division of Servette Fc.<\/p>\n
