The FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup 2024 will be held in Colombia from August 31 to September 22. The competition will see an increase in the number of participating teams from 16 to 24, a decision made by the FIFA Council on Oct. 4. As for the format of the 2024 tournament, the 24 teams will be divided into six groups of four. The top two from each round will qualify for the round of 16, along with the four best thirds. The tournament will continue with quarterfinals, semifinals, the third place match and finally the final.
It should be noted that among the 20 women’s soccer teams so far qualified for the FIFA Under 20 are also the teams of Cameroon and Morocco, which after WWCup 2023, is also participating with the youth national team for the first time.
