The Olimic Lyonnas defeated Paris St-Germain at the Parc des Princes 2 -2 in front of a crowd of 30,000 spectators and qualified for the final of the womenโs Champions League against the Barcelona womenโs team. Lyon and French national team player Selma Bacha scored the first goal about three minutes into the match, while Tabitha Chawinga equalised for PSG before half-time.
The match between Lyon Fรฉmininis and Paris Saint Germain was very close, but there was nothing for the Parisian team to do, Melchie Dumornay scoring the second goal in the 81st minute that extinguished PSGโs ambitions. With an aggregate score of 5-3, Ol joined FC Barcelona who beat Celsea at Stamford Bridge in front of a record crowd.
Womenโs Lyon 11 times in Champions League final
The French team is the most successful ever with its 11 times in the final of the UCWL Olimic Lyonnas have won the womenโs Champions League eight times. Barcelona, which is considered the strongest team in Europe, has never won against the French.
The final between the womenโs Lyonnas and Barcelona will be held in Bilbao, Spain on 25 May.
