The Como Women club, recently in the international press thanks to the entry of the American fund Mercury 13, just a day after the Lombard derby against Milan Women, has exonerated Marco Bruzzano the youngest coach in the Italian Women’s Football Championship. Why Como Women exonerated the coach.
The Larian team, formerly led by Sebastián De La Fuente, now coach of Fiorentina Women’s, after a good start to the season in the women’s Serie A regular season, is currently in Poule salvezza and third last in the standings. This is probably the reason why the company decided to relieve the technician. Therefore, Como Women, for the Lombard derby and for the next matches, will be followed by Stefano Maccoppi as temporary coach.
Bruzzano’s bench is the third one to jump in the 2023-2024 women’s soccer league, after that of Maurizio Ganz, former Milan coach, and Joe Montemurro, Juventus Women coach, whom we told you about in our video dedicated to Juve women.
However, F.C. Como Women’s decision, although it may be motivated by the results so far, comes just hours before the match against AC Milan Women scheduled for March 30 at the Ferruccio Trabattoni Stadium in Seregno. All indications are that the Italian-American football club is already preparing, as of now, for the upcoming women’s Serie A season, without taking any further risks.
